Junior Parent/Guardian,

As part of state requirements, all juniors will take the ACT along with a science and U.S. History test. All tests are free and require no registration. We will take the tests during the school day on the dates below. At the bottom of this message are links to numerous FREE prep materials.

Test sessions for the ACT will be based on English teacher.

Science and US History tests will be given during the students US History class time.

Your student will be receiving login information from their English teacher to complete the ACT non-test portions before their test date. This is the student’s opportunity to select colleges to receive their scores and complete personal information. If students do not complete this portion before their test date, sending scores will require a fee.

Please do not schedule appointments on these dates if possible!

ACT dates

April 6 — students in Susan Wright and Nicole Damas English classes

April 7 — all virtual students

April 8 — students in Kevin McDonald and Regan Killackey English classes

April 13 — students in Debbie Reichert and Linsey Warthen English classes

Due to the length of the ACT with writing, testing will start at 8:00am each day. All testing students will take second lunch.

Science test dates

April 9 — all students will take the science test through their US History class

April 14 — all virtual students take the science test. Test begins at 9:00am.

U.S. History test dates

April 20 — all students will take the US History test through their US History class

April 21 — all virtual students take the US History test. Test begins at 9:00am.

All students must test on their own Chromebook. Students will need to make sure they have their Chromebook charged on testing day. On their ACT day, they will also need to bring their charging cord since the length of the test may exceed battery life.

Students will complete the non-testing portions, like the interest inventory, before the test date.

‘It’s time to order diplomas! Unless you advise the counseling office otherwise, your name will appear as it does in Infinite Campus. Please go look at it in Infinite Campus NOW. If your name looks fine as it is shown, verify it’s correct on the form. If it’s different, you need to make corrections on the form. (Note: Middle names are not shown in Infinite Campus, so it you want that included, you must make a correction on the form).

Differences might include things like spacing, dashes, apostrophes, or titles like ‘Jr.’ or ‘III’ etc. that aren’t included, or possibly even spelling. If you have not made a correction by April 1, 2021, I will assume you are fine with it appearing as it does in Infinite Campus.

Please note that your legal name must appear on your diploma, but if you regularly go by your middle name or a nickname, you will be able to request that it be read during the graduation ceremony at a later date.

  • We have a tradition called Senior Morning where all seniors attend and pick up their gowns, they will try them on and make sure everything fits. Jostens will be here to solve any gown issues. After this, they will have their picture taken for the Official Class of 2021 Panoramic picture. They will be dressed in normal clothes, no gowns. They will take individual pictures and then be photoshopped together. Then we will have our final senior assembly and your senior will receive the final calendar of dates.
