December 13,  2020

Dear EPS Families and Staff,

Due to the potential of refreeze on our parking lots, parent drop-off lanes and neighborhood streets, Monday, December 14 will be a remote learning day. Students on schedule “A” do not need to report to school.

All students should log in to Canvas and make progress on their work to be counted present. Attendance will be taken Monday and teachers will be available for questions/feedback between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 pm via email or Canvas.

High school students scheduled to take finals Monday will do so remotely on Canvas. High schools will be sending out detailed information. A-day semester tests are for odd-numbered classes (1, 3, 5, 7).

Parents of students on an Individualized Education Program (IEP)/504 should review the contingency plan for services on inclement weather days where no in-person instruction can occur. Please contact your child’s special education teacher or related service personnel (Speech Therapist, OT, etc.) for further clarification.

Curbside meal service will be provided from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. at Ida Freeman Elementary, 501 West Hurd Street

Until my next communication, please stay safe.

Sincerely,

Bret Towne

Superintendent
